The online OSHA Outreach courses provide training on hazards that a worker may encounter in their job. Upon successful completion of the course you will receive an OSHA DOL Card in the mail. Your DOL card is sometimes required to be employed on a job site and may help differentiate you in the hiring process.

Which course should I enroll in?

The 10-hour training program is primarily intended for entry level workers.

The 30-hour training program is intended to provide workers with some safety responsibility a greater depth and variety of training.
How long do the courses take?

The OSHA 10-hour course will take a minimum of 10 hours to complete the course

The OSHA 30-hour course will take a minimum of 30 hours to complete the course
-
OSHA requires that you can only take 7.5 hours per day of course content and then must wait 24 hours before completing additional course content
How much time do I have to complete the training?

You will have 6 months to complete the training from the time your enroll in the course
What is the course like?

The online interactive course is fully narrated flash-enabled course with graphics/text, drag and drop exercises, and questions to ensure mastery of the course content

Email access to an OSHA Authorized trainer should you have questions about the course content
What do I get when I successfully complete the course?

Printable diploma immediately upon successful completion

Can I take an OSHA Outreach course online?

What does Actively Proctored mean?

For states/cities that require proctoring (New York City) the Actively Proctored version of the course will prompt you to dial a 800 number to capture your voice authentication and provide a PIN before starting the course

Periodically through the course you will be prompted to dial a 800 number to state your PIN
Does my OSHA DOL Card ever expire?

OSHA DOL Cards do not expire, however, employers may require that you have taken the OSHA Outreach course within the last 3-5 years
Why OSHA Outreach?

The Outreach Training Program is a voluntary program. Its purpose is to promote workplace safety and health and to make workers more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights.

Outreach training does not fulfill the training requirements found in OSHA standards. Employers are responsible for providing additional training for their workers on specific hazards of their job as noted in many OSHA standards
